Family Night

Timmy cutting up peppers
Janelle's dough covered hands.
Team work!
Almost ready for the oven...
Time to taste a job well done!

This family night we decided to make a pizza together (making a pizza together offers a lot more "togetherness and family fun" than ordering one or using a store bought one!) and then enjoyed watching "The Sound of Music" while we ate our work of art. Our children are not allowed to watch TV (we allow one movie per week) so this was a real treat for us. We had a great time together! And we are still bouncing through the house singing all the songs from the movie. These moments make treasured memories for our family!

Awesome family time! I'm sure glad at least 3 kids (right?) will grow up without depending on TV for entertainment! Your idea isn't copyrighted or patented, is it?

Well, what a pleasant surprise...Travis! Welcome to our blog, and a peak into our world!

Right...three children...so far.

Hey, thanks for the encouragement! The idea is certainly open for others to use. I'll tell you this much...there really is such thing as too much TV! During a very intense time of remodeling our upstairs, our children watched WAY WAY TOO MUCH TV while I was helping with clean up and decision making, etc. while the crew was here working. I can't even tell you the difference in our kids. Even I was absolutely amazed and disgusted!

I encourage all parents to shut the racket off for a week and just see for yourself what a positive affect it will have in your home. I can almost guarantee you will love it! Just think...with just the push of a button you will be on your way to a happier, healthier family!!!

Fun, fun, fun! And besides the family togetherness w/making a homemade pizza, it tastes so much better than storebought, too!! And I totally agree w/your decision to limit TV/movie time to a minimum!
And, ha ha to Trav's comment about it being copyrighted or patented, he's so funny! (I'm at his parents place now)
